Donate on 3ho50.org/give Meet Denise: For 20 years, Kundalini Yoga teacher and Licensed Family Therapist Denise Davidson has shared Kundalini Yoga in the South Central LA to both youth and elderly community members. In the LA community she has worked tirelessly for foster care children, the elderly, African-Americans, the LGBTQ community and has built a career of seva and service for all. For the last 5 years, she has also gone to South Africa to serve at-risk youth and has brought Krishna Kaur there to train teachers in Y.O.G.A. for Youth, to continue to expand the availability of the technology that has transformed her life.
Meet the Luminary: Dharma Atma Singh, Virginia
The 3HO Luminaries Program brings extraordinary Kundalini Yogis serving underserved communities around the world to Summer & Winter Solstice for our 50th Anniversary celebrations. By honoring these Luminaries, 3HO seeks to create lasting connections between teachers, encourage seva as the highest state of mind and spirit, and strengthen 3HO communities around the globe. For the last 5 years, Dharma Atma Singh has brought Kundalini Yoga and meditation to high school students throughout Virginia both in the classroom and as an extracurricular activity. As his program has grown, he has become the Mindfulness Coordinator for all schools in his county, where he has created mindfulness programs in 206 schools. Jeff has trained 207 teachers in Virginia in Kundalini Yoga and meditation for use in classrooms. This summer he will train an additional 200 teachers in 35 school districts on Kundalini techniques for students. As he puts it, watching people transform from generations of trauma is "everything."
